A long-running dispute between a former Boss Media skin (PokerTrillion) and Boss Media took a surprising development today when a Maltese judge ordered the Boss Media servers to be shut down to commerical activity from September 18, 2008.
KS Poker, a popular room on the Boss Media network, will be affected by this development.
We have been in contact with KS Poker management, who assure us that all KS Poker players' funds are held seperately and there is absolutely no risk to players' account balances. Games will continue unaffected until the servers are shut down on September 18.
Just to be safe, we are advising all RakebackSTAT KS Poker players to withdraw their funds prior to September 18 until the situation can be resolved.
Pure speculation on our part suggests that KS Poker will likely move to another network if the situation with Boss Media is not resolved quickly. Another possible scenario is that Boss Media will get back online from an alternative jurisdiction. We have no comment from KS Poker regarding either scenario, however.
